PRINCETON MANOR

MURAL PROPOSAL BY

We are excited to present our proposal for a series of murals at Princeton Manor, located in the vibrant community of Princeton, Miami, Florida. Our artistic vision is inspired by the rich tapestry of local fauna and flora found in South Florida, and we aim to create a series of murals that not only enhance the visual appeal of the area but also serve as an educational resource for the community.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Disem, is a Miami-based artist and illustrator of Latin American and Italian decent. Disem is best known for his vibrant murals featuring photorealistic portraits against pink and teal Art Deco inspired graffiti. Referred to as both “pretty and gritty,” Disem’s work can be found on walls around the entire world, but most frequently in Miami where Miami New Times referred to his mural of Dwyane Wade as the “Best Public Art” in 2019. Disem’s recent works include commissions for some of the world’s largest companies like Red Bull and Cricket Mobile, as well as pieces made for shows at Museum of Graffiti, Gallery 2612, and Uva Gallery. Disems signature and highlyrecognizable lettering continues today to expand onto apparel, houseware, and even Instagram filters.
Dreps is a Miami-based visual artist with a rich background in murals and graffiti, his work blends expressive, gestural techniques with figurative elements, often utilizing vibrant colors against deep, dark backgrounds. Drawing inspiration from the energy of South Florida nights, his style mirrors the interplay between nature, people, and urban life. With over 25 years of experience in large-scale public art, He has collaborated with prominent clients such as W Hotels, Hard Rock Casino, and Aston Martin, delivering impactful and memorable installations. His expertise ensures that I can execute this project to the highest standards, respecting the space, meeting timelines, and delivering a work of art that elevates the aesthetic of the environment.

OUR VISION

The beauty of South Florida’s natural environment is a significant source of inspiration for our mural designs. By incorporating elements such as native plants, wildlife, and the unique ecosystems of the region, we aim to celebrate the natural beauty that surrounds Princeton Manor.

Our design incorporates local flora and fauna, including the palmetto saw, Eastern bluebird, Roseate Spoonbill, Painted Bunting, white ibis, and tropical flowers, creating a vibrant and welcoming environment for residents.

By aligning our color palette with the existing architectural colors of the buildings, we ensure that our murals will harmoniously integrate into the environment while enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal.

Most importantly, these murals will not be generic or cookie-cutter representations; instead, each piece will be a unique work of art crafted by artists who take immense pride in their craft. These murals are envisioned to become landmarks in their own right, celebrated for their creativity and distinctiveness.
In addition to their visual impact, the murals will serve an educational purpose. Each mural will include informative elements about the depicted flora and fauna, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the local ecosystem. We envision creating an engaging narrative that encourages community members and visitors to connect with the natural world, promoting environmental awareness and stewardship.
Art has the power to bring communities together and reflect their culture. Our mural project aims to infuse new cultural life into Princeton by showcasing artistic expressions that resonate with the community. We are committed to collaborating closely with architects and developers to explore additional ideas and concepts that could further enhance the aesthetic and cultural significance of Princeton Manor. By working together, we can ensure that the murals complement the architectural vision while enriching the community's identity.
We understand that the creative process is dynamic and may evolve based on the needs of the community and the input from stakeholders. If selected, we are open to further refining our designs or exploring new directions that align with the overarching vision of Princeton Manor. Our goal is to create murals that the community can take pride in and that will stand the test of time.
